State Party To The Agreement On The European Economic Area

The European Economic Area (EEA) agreement is a 1992 agreement that brings together the Member States of the European Union (EU) and three of the Member States of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) – Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway – into an internal market. (The fourth STATE of EFTA, Switzerland, has decided not to join. The aim of the agreement is to strengthen trade and economic relations between countries by removing trade barriers and imposing a level playing field and respect for the same rules. If the Competent Authority finds that certain agreements of a strictly analog and effect nature are concluded with the above provisions, it authorizes them, among other things, that this paragraph applies to distributors, it also authorizes them, if they have ensured that they meet the same requirements. I have the honour of confirming my agreement to the above. When the EEA came into force in 1994, there were 17 states and two European Communities: the European Community, which was later integrated into the enlarged EU framework, and the European Coal and Steel Community, which no longer exists. The number of members has increased to 30 in 2020: 27 EU Member States and three of the four EFTA Member States (Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway). [8] The agreement will be applied provisionally to Croatia – the rest and the youngest EU Member State – until all parties to the EEA have ratified its accession. [4] [13] The United Kingdom is, on a temporary basis, a member of the EEA on 31 January 2020 and has joined a transitional period until 31 December 2020. During the transitional period, the EEA agreement remains unchanged and continues to apply to other EEA members and the United Kingdom, as the UK continues to be regarded as an EEA state. [14] One EFTA member, Switzerland, did not join the EEA, but concluded a series of bilateral sectoral agreements with the EU allowing it to participate in the internal market. the provisions of Article 112, paragraph 1, also concern the situation in a specific area; PROTOCOLE 3 for products covered in Article 8, paragraph 3, point b), of Agreement 26.

Joint statement on mutual assistance between supervisors in the field of spirits; The Commission`s proposal strengthens the protection of patients, users and third parties by referring to harmonised standards to be adopted by CEN-CENELEC in accordance with legal requirements and by subjecting these products to appropriate compliance assessment procedures, including third-party intervention for certain devices. Jacques Delors, who was President of the European Commission at the time, did not appreciate the EEC`s spread to other Member States, fearing that this would hinder the Community`s ability to complete internal market reform and build monetary union. In January 1989, he proposed a European Economic Area (SEA), which was later renamed the European Economic Area, as it is now known. Customs authorities may decide otherwise to take into account a threat or control obligation defined by other legislative acts. Free trade agreements are not affected unless otherwise stated in this protocol. If free trade agreements do not apply, the provisions of this agreement apply. While the material provisions of free trade AGREEMENTs continue to be applied, the institutional provisions of these agreements also apply.
